Pump Installer Registration
| Registration as a Pump installer is required for "all persons, firms, or corporations engaged in the business of installing or repairing pumps or other equipment in wells" [15A NCAC 2C.0103] |
The Well Contractor Certification Rules require that a certified well contractor must be present when performing well contractor activities. Well contractor activities are defined as “the construction, installation, repair, alteration, or abandonment of any well.” [G.S. 87-98.2] This includes breaking the well seal to gain access to the well, disinfection, extending well casing, well abandonment, hydrofracturing, well repair and construction. Registration as a Pump Installer does not qualify you to perform these well contractor activities. |
| To register as a Pump Installer simply fill out the registration form below and fax or mail in to the address listed on the form. There are currently no fees or testing required. After your application is received and processed, you will get a certificate back in the mail listing your Registration Number. You will also receive a copy of the 2C.0100 Well Contruction Standards rulebook as this booklet contains rules applicable to Pump Installers. |
| Pump Installer Registration is to be renewed every odd-numbered year during April. |
