Any references to the 15A NCAC 2H .0200 rules will be overridden by the new 2T Rules. Rule Highlights:

  • Sewer extensions are mainly covered under 2T .0300.
  • System-wide Collection System Permitting is covered under 2T .0400.
  • The available power reliability option for pump stations can no longer be wet well storage for waters near Class C. Stations over 15,000 gallons per day require a permanent generator and those under require a portable generator receptacle. All stations now require telemetry/auto-dialer in addition to audible and visual alarms.
  • For developer permitted projects, a copy of the Declarations must be submitted with the final engineering certification to demonstrate compliance with the terms of the Operational Agreement.
  • More flow rates have been included in 2T .0114.
  • Change of ownerships for private permitted projects (i.e. developer to homeowner association or public utility) must be submitted at the time of final certification.
  • The separation distance between storm sewers and sanitary sewers has been increased to 24 inches unless structural bridging is provided.
  • Separation distances between reclaimed water lines and wetlands and sanitary sewers has been added to 2T .0300.
