Office of Personnel, Training and Information Management :: Home

The Office of Personnel, Training and Information Management is comprised of the Environmental Technologies Unit, Information Processing Unit, Staff Services Office, Technical Assistance and Certification and support for the Well Contractors Certification Commission.

The Environmental Technologies Unit provides information systems development, training and support for the division.

The Information Processing Unit encompasses the division's central files and is resposible for the data entry of permit compliance information.

The Staff Services Office provides division personnel with benefits, payroll and timesheet management, facilities management services, staff development and educational training, and general safety and health consultation services.

Technical Assistance and Certification is the administrative arm of North Carolina's Water Pollution Control System Operators Certification Commission. The unit provides technical support to the commission, and manages education opportunities and the certification program for operators of a variety of waste treatment systems.

The purpose of the Well Contractors Certification Commission is to protect the public health and safety by ensuring the integrity and competence of well contractors through examination and certification.
