The Information Processing Unit is comprised of the division's Central Files and is responsible for data entry of permit compliance information.
Central Files is located in the basement of the Archdale Building, 512 N. Salisbury St. in Raleigh, N.C. Located in Central Files are permits and correspondence relating to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit program, files relating to collection systems and gravity sewer systems, Stormwater files for the federal Phase I and Phase II programs including General Permits, state stormwater programs, and files relating to oil and chemical spills.
The files are available for review Monday through Friday during regular business hours. If you wish to copy documents, the first 25 pages are free; the cost of copying is $0.025 per page after that. For more information, please call (919) 807-6306.
Files for the Aquifer Protection Section are housed at the 2728 Capital Boulevard building. Those files include groundwater incident information, land application permits and correspondence and animal operations unit documents. Additional files related to the permitted community can be found at DENR's seven regional offices.
